In order to try to keep my email address from being searched out by spam
bots, I use the robot
exclusion protocol. Let's face it, we all get more than enough spam
in our lives!
Basically I have a file called robots.txt that tells web crawlers not to look in my subdirectories. Although illegitimate ones sometimes ignore the protocol, they have been led by programs such as wpoison to regret not doing so, and more and more they do obey the commands in the protocol. In addition to wpoison, I also have not listed my email address any where on this site in anything but the form of a graphic, so only a live person can see and read my address. So, if you want to email me, you can do so by emailing If you would like to chat with me live some time, I will be hanging around on yahoo messenger where I am known as flutterbyg1rl, so watch out for me there! Kiriel I would appreciate if you would NOT KEEP MY EMAIL ADDRESS IN AN ONLINE ADDRESS BOOK. Its not a hard address to remember... I have, in the last few weeks had a huge jump in spam coming directly to my address and can only conclude that someone added me recently.. love you all but please save me from junk mail! |
