For updates on the last month or so before this, have a look at previous months' entries. Note, entries are in reverse chronological order, with the most recent entry at the top of the page. I also keep a foodblog, and have a flickr site with extra photos on it.

There were so many (you can't say I haven't been doing my homework) that I had to make a whole page for it! 24 June Last night I went out with GOL friends for an Indian meal, which was very nice. Afterwards we went out dancing. It was lots of fun, until not long before we left. I noticed that there was a man watching me. Not coming up to dance or anything, just standing around the side watching. I didn't think much of it at the time, and then when we were gathering ourselves I noticed him watching me again. When we left, he left too. We headed to the carpark where one my friends was parked. I mentioned to my friends that I thought this man was following me, but wasn't over concerned about it. I was going to call a taxi but one of my friends was walking the same way, so I decided that I would just walk with them as far as the nearest taxi rank and go from there. Then as we walked along, the same man drove past. He turned into a street on the right ahead of us, and again I didn't think much more. That was, until we walked past that street and noticed that he was parked just around the corner. Then just after we passed he pulled out and again drove past and pulled around the corner on the left. By now I was feeling a little freaked, and was glad to find a taxi shortly after. I could see the man's car pulled up as I got in the taxi. I chatted briefly to the taxi driver and mentioned that I had been followed. Then, what do I see, but behind us, the same man and car! The taxi driver said that it would be ok, and pulled over on the side of the road. Again the man drove past and around the next corner. After a short pause we drove again, and saw that he had gone just around the corner and parked. The taxi drove on and was able to drop me off. He kindly waited to make sure I got into the building and the lift. (He also told me that the man had Lausanne number plates). When I went inside the house, I didn't turn on the main light, but walked to the balcony and looked over; I saw the same car then cruise down the street and disappear. All a bit freaky I must say. 19 June Fete de la musique this weekend; apart from some showers, it was heaps of fun. African music, ska, rock, chanson, all sorts of great stuff. Also had tapas at my friend Nir and Iolly's house; boy she can cook up a storm! Here is the current draft plan for Christmas holidays:
Its a lot to fit in but it could be fun! Something June... Friday... whatever. Have to share with you my latest addiction: The Mosaic. Oh, and by the way, did I tell you that my brother (the one in Indonesia) missed out on being inside his now-unliveable house during the earthquake, because he was 30km away gawking at the active volcano? Sigh. 3 JuneNipped up to Basel to visit Christoph. Its always great to see him, and I don't get to do so nearly often enough. I also went to the Kunstmuseum and saw the Holbein exhibition, which was fantastic. I hadn't realised that he spent so much time in Basel, and had such an influence on it. His style was so much more architectural than I had realised before. Very interesting - I lashed out on the catalogue, so make sure you see it some time!
