For updates on the last month or so before this, have a look at previous months' entries. Note, entries are in reverse chronological order, with the most recent entry at the top of the page. I also keep a foodblog, and have a flickr site with extra photos on it.

| 30 November A trip to the Montreux christmas markets with some friends... even though the weather was pretty nasty, when we first arrived the mountains were clear and beautiful in the distance: We wandered around looking at the stalls. They build a lot of temporary buildings for the markets like this rather ingenious tower woodpile: and even an entire chalet! There were all sort of interesting stalls, but to be truthful not all that much to tempt me to open my purse. There were some delicious biscuits but at 90chf a kilo, that put them well out of my price range! But the food stalls were amazing too:
I was reminded of when my brother Stephen came; we went to these same Christmas markets. 23 November Not much to report this month at all!, but here is a recent picture of me.
I have figured out what I want for Christmas: a really good quality mandolin - not the musical sort - the cooking tool.
