| February February is the first month where meetings really get underway in my work calendar. Three weeks of meetings all day every day. Did I manage to squeeze in anything but sleep on the weekends? Not really. One thing did happen. My boyfriend and I split up. The reality was that he was searching for far more of my time than I was prepared to give. Understandably he felt like he was not a priority, and to be truthful that was the reality. He lives far away, and my life here is more than full time. I had always been utterly honest with him, and I did try to explain where I was coming from, but ultimately the relationship I offered was not the one he needed. Ah well, c'est la vie eh? (at the time of writing this he has found another relationship and it looks like she is far more suitable for him than I ever was, about which I am very pleased). One of my friends here described me thusly: "it is not that Kiriel is not open to a relationship. It is just that she is happy enough within herself that she is not going to just settle for something that isn't right just for the sake of being in a relationship." An excellent description I would have to say. So single and content I stay for the moment. Apart from working and sleeping (which is at least good for the bank balance) I did run off to Annecy for a day trip to check out their Venetian mask weekend. There were some impressive frocks and masks to be seen, I must say, and Annecy is always incredibly picturesque even on a rainy day.
