A tiny hotel room |
Looking into the room while standing in the bathroom |
I was staying in the Chinatown part of Singapore |
with tall apartments |
and some very brightly coloured buildings |
and I discovered that things don't start early
in Chinatown |
But in the evening, they rock! |
Singapore has a wide range of cultures and beliefs
in the one city |
Krishna temples |
next to Buddhist (KuanYin) temples |
with gorgeous tiles |
and shops with their own buddha's to rub for luck |
and you can buy any lucky items you need |
toys and party gear |
or lanterns |
architecture is interesting even in local houses |
With some delightful details |
Colourful schemes |
and truly scary building techniques |
I mostly ate from foodstalls |
Some very strange dishes indeed |
But believe me |
I could have |
eaten much stranger things |
I of course |
had to visit Raffles |
which was very lovely |
but I could only afford to use the bathroom. |
to use the bathroom |
The Suntec shopping centre |
had lovely pockets of garden |
and a very very large fountain |
Having been very frugal with my shopping on my
first day |
Just looking at Singpore |
I decided to cross the waters to see |
Sentosa Island |
